About this policy
Pebble’s Day is provided by Faberon Labs Inc. This policy covers the app and related support requests. Privacy questions can be sent to contact@faberonlabs.com.
Information on your device
The app stores your chosen place name and coordinates, the latest successful weather reading and its timestamp, garden preferences and simulation state on your device. These support weather, daylight, offline readings and continuity when you return. Garden animation and folding behavior are processed on-device.
Optional location and place search
You can select a place manually without giving the app access to your current location. Searching for places sends your search text to Apple’s MapKit service; selecting a result uses that service to obtain the place’s coordinates.
Use current location asks iOS for permission and a one-shot location fix. Precision follows your iOS permission and the available fix. The app requests accuracy of roughly three kilometres, but iOS may return a more precise coordinate. The app does not independently round that coordinate before requesting weather. Apple’s reverse-geocoding service also receives the fix to look up a locality name. The app does not continuously monitor your location or request background location updates.
Apple processes these requests under its privacy terms: Apple Maps & Privacy and Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Weather requests and provider records
The app sends the selected latitude and longitude directly to Open-Meteo over HTTPS to obtain weather, sunrise/sunset times and the place’s time zone. This applies to both manual selections and current-location fixes. Open-Meteo also receives ordinary network information, including your IP address and the requested URL. Weather and place-lookup requests do not pass through a Faberon Labs account server.
Refreshing weather, including when you return to the app, sends the saved place’s coordinates again. Revoking location permission does not erase that saved selection or stop weather requests for it.
Open-Meteo’s published privacy notice says technical logs may include IP addresses and geographical coordinates and that individual logs are deleted after 90 days. These records are held by the provider, separately from the app’s local cache. See Open-Meteo Terms & Privacy.
Accounts, advertising and tracking
No account is required. Pebble’s Day does not display advertisements, include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, track you across other companies’ apps and websites, or sell your app data.
Your choices, retention and deletion
You can change or revoke location permission, including Precise Location, in iOS Settings. Manual place selection remains available. Choosing another place replaces the saved selection. Local preferences and cached information remain until overwritten as you use the app or removed with the app.
Stop using or delete the app to stop its future requests. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device; offloading preserves it. Device backups may retain copies that can be restored, subject to your Apple backup settings. Deleting the app does not delete information already held by Apple or Open-Meteo; their processing and retention follow their own policies.
Support and privacy requests
If you contact us, we receive the email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond and keep relevant correspondence as needed for support and legal obligations. Please avoid sending exact location or other sensitive information unless it is needed for your request.
Email contact@faberonlabs.com to ask what information Faberon Labs holds about you or to request correction or deletion. We can help with information we hold; we cannot directly delete another provider’s logs.
